we are so thrilled to announce that we have just included the 400th language in forvo with the addition of the language. considering that there are users in forvo who speak this language, we decided to add it to our list of languages, reaching a significant milestone in forvo's history.

this language is a mandé language spoken by the mandinka people of the casamance region of senegal, the gambia, and northern guinea-bissau. it is one of the principal languages of the gambia and one of the native languages in guinea. it is related to other languages already included in forvo, such as .

we have also added other languages recently, one of them being . in this case, we are talking about a language spoken in circassia, a region in the north caucasus and along the northeast shore of the black sea. in forvo, one of our purposes is to try to preserve dying languages as well as to keep some data if the language is no longer spoken. because of that, with the help of our users, we believe we can create an interesting corpus for this language too.
